Rifle/Pistol Silhouette consists of shooting steel animal shaped targets at distances of 25, 40, 50, and 75 yds.
To score, the target has to be knocked down.
Currently, there are 6 classes:
- .22 Rifle Any Sight
- .22 Sporter Rifle Iron Sight
- Centerfire Pistol Iron Sight
- .22 Pistol Iron Sight
- .22 Pistol Any Optics
- .22 Rifle Unlimited Iron Sights
Firearm Classes:

.22 Rifle – Any Sight: 40 shot match. This class will be standing, off-hand unsupported. Ammo will be .22 short, long or long rifle only. No palm rests, butt hooks or slings. No specialized shooting jackets or gloves. Shotgun style shooting vests with leather panels are fine and are encouraged as they help to anchor the butt of the rifle and the off hand elbow. A suppressor is allowed.
.22 Sporter Rifle – Iron Sights: 40 shot match. This class will be standing, off-hand unsupported. The “Sporter Rifle” title is there to keep the rifles used more in line with something you carry out in the field and to keep the competition from becoming an equipment race. Ammo will be .22 short, long or long rifle only. Rear sights may be open or aperture and may be mounted on the barrel, receiver, or tang. Front sights may be post or bead only and if changeable inserts, a post type. A front anti-glare tube may be used. Fiber optic material on the front sight is allowed. No muzzle diameter greater than .800, and no stocks with adjustable combs. A suppressor is allowed. No palm rests, butt hooks or slings. No specialized shooting jackets or gloves. Shotgun style shooting vests with leather panels are fine and are encouraged as they help to anchor the butt of the rifle and the off hand elbow.
.22 Pistol Iron Sights: 40 shot match. This match is shot seated in a chair.
Centerfire Pistol Iron Sight: 20 shot match. This match is shot seated in a chair, limited to straight wall pistol cartridges up to .44 mag. A .22 mag may also be used in the Centerfire class although it may not knock down the more distant targets. Any cartridge that damages targets will not be allowed regardless of the type.
.22 Pistol Any Sight: 40 shot match. This match is shot standing, unsupported.
.22 Rifle Unlimited Iron Sights: 40 shot match. This class allows any iron sight .22 rifle, factory or modified. This match will be shot standing, off-hand unsupported. Slings may be used. Ammo will be .22 short, long or long rifle only.
Ear and eye protection required.
Fee is $5.00 per class.
